About 56 players participated in Samoa O Nevada's 1st Annual Golf Tournament (2-Person Best Ball) Fund raiser held at Sunrise Vista Golf Course on Nellis AFB, June 2008. Norman Puni and Ralph Kahalehua took 1st Place (Price-Samoa O Nevada Trophy) and Chuck Woodruff and Ron Harris of Las Vegas took 2nd Place.
Mike Tuitele, President of Samoa O Nevada, expressed his gratitude and "faafetai" to all supporters and donors who made this event a success. Revenue obtained from this event funded scholarships awarded to successful applicants. This Annual Golf Tournament will be an ongoing fund raiser event for Samoa O Nevada as announced by the President, Mike Tuitele. The Tournament was later followed by a luncheon hosted also by Samoa O Nevada.

Another successful fund raiser event was held at Sunrise Vista Golf Course, Nellis AFB which took place on May 14, 2009. Fiu Faapuna and Taei Aloi of St. George took 1st Place in Samoa O Nevada's 2nd Annual Golf Tournament. Curtis Walwork and Simm Obard took 2nd Place and Ralph Khalehua and Solomona Siapo of Las Vegas took 3rd Place. Kaps of Las Vegas won the Longest Drive and Proximity was again won by Fiu Faapuna. Everyone was later treated to a hearty BBQ Luncheon hosted by Samoa O Nevada. It is truly a great family event that shouldn't be missed. The next Tournament is projected for the Year 2010 so mark your Calender and come flex your muscles, enjoy and contributes to this good cause!
