Talofa Lava and Welcome!

SAMOA O NEVADA was established August 20, 2006:       1.  To preserve the cultural legacy of the indigenous people of Samoa       2.   Provide financial assistance for youth education     3.   Create an awareness of salient issues to the Samoan community and     4.   Facilitate and foster a more unified community. We encourage our youth to further their education beyond high school and be proud of their heritage.  Samoa's beautiful, rich and unique culture has been preserved through cultural celebration and observation from generation through generation, and we seek to further this legacy. We also strive to motivate and assist the youths by offering scholarships to those seeking post secondary higher education both in the academic and vocational realms.  This also allows for athletic excellence and success as well.  All may apply for these scholarships and must also meet specialized criteria. Also, we do not forget that good citizens and individuals are nurtured from good homes and communities, therefore, we also strive to create an awareness of important issues relevant to the Samoan communities.  This will fortify and strengthen them not only in recognizing issues impacting our everyday lives, but to provide both preventative and remedial solutions.
